Audio Poetry collaboration in Tricycle
Lately, I’ve been diving into experimentation with audio poetry, the kind that is immersive and collaborative. In response to our national reckoning with racism, I wrote a poem for two voices titled “Yellow Insomnia” exploring allyship, particularly Asian and Black solidarity in support of the Black Lives Matter movement. I had the honor to record this poem with acclaimed poet and my dear friend Randall Horton. Please take a moment to check it out at Tricycle: A Buddhist Review. I’m also grateful to fellow poets Kenji Liu and Shana Melton who supported this poem’s journey there.
